Blake is the fiery mind behind Lunamor’s Larder, blending a lifelong love of flavor with a fascination for science. As a neurodivergent adult recently diagnosed with Autism and ADHD, Blake’s approach to sauces reflects his unique way of thinking—a deep curiosity, relentless experimentation, and a knack for finding unexpected connections between ingredients.
Growing up living wtih families from Vietnam, Bosnia, Somalia, and beyond, Blake developed a passion for bold, vibrant flavors that told stories of their own. By age 8, he was already creating his own sauce recipes—even writing a letter to then-President Bill Clinton to pitch one of his creations (though he admits it probably wasn’t his best work)! At around the same age, chemistry textbooks checked out from the library became his playground, fueling his obsession with fermentation and flavor balance.
By day, Blake serves as a dedicated school principal, but Lunamor’s Larder is his creative outlet—a way to unwind after work and to share his love of curiosity and flavor with the world. With a background in cheesemaking, fermentation, blacksmithing, foraging, and other crafts, Blake turns his kitchen into a playground where each batch is an exciting journey of transformation.

Lunamor’s Larder was born from a relentless curiosity and a love for bold, unconventional flavors. It started with a simple idea: create sauces that celebrate both heat and harmony. Each bottle reflects years of tinkering, testing, and tasting—guided by my deep appreciation for chemistry and a lifetime spent pairing flavors in unexpected ways.
What began as a small kitchen experiment in the early 2000’s has grown into a collection of sauces that tell stories through flavor. From the juicy sweetness of Strawburied Alive to the tropical punch of Mjango Unchained, each sauce is crafted with care, creativity, and a whole lot of spice.
