Make-It Monday: Mjango Unchained Mango Chicken Lettuce Wraps

Mjango Unchained brings mango, pineapple, and Carolina Reaper into perfect balance—sweet, savory, and intense. These quick lettuce wraps tame the fire with crunchy lettuce, tender chicken, and a pop of citrus, making it a fresh way to bring the burn.

Ingredients:

For the chicken:

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts, diced
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • Juice of 1/2 lime
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon Mjango Unchained hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce

Assembly:

  • 1 head of butter lettuce or romaine, leaves separated
  • 1/4 cup finely diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrot
  • Optional: chopped cilantro, sliced cucumber, crushed peanuts

Instructions:

  1. Season the chicken with lime juice, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until browned and cooked through, 6–8 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together Mjango Unchained, honey, vinegar, and soy sauce. Drizzle over cooked chicken and stir to coat.
  3. Spoon chicken into lettuce leaves. Top with veggies and optional garnishes. Serve immediately.

Tips for Success:

  • For milder heat, mix the hot sauce with a little extra honey or mayo before adding to the chicken.
