Make-It Monday: Peaches Christ Glazed BBQ Chicken Wings

Smoky. Sweet. Sinfully hot. This is backyard barbecue with a fiery halo.
Serves: 4 | Prep time: 10 min | Cook time: 25–30 min

Why This Works:

Peaches Christ brings intense peach flavor with a hellish Carolina Reaper kick. Blending it into a sticky BBQ glaze delivers heat, fruit, and depth, perfect for juicy grilled chicken. This one’s easy enough for a weeknight but bold enough to headline your next cookout.

Ingredients:

For the chicken:

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skin-on chicken wings (bone-in works too)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon oil

For the glaze:

  • 2 tablespoons Peaches Christ hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1/3 cup peach preserves or apricot jam
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Season chicken wings with salt and pepper.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine all glaze ingredients. Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened (about 5–7 minutes). Remove from heat.
  3. Lightly oil the grill. Place chicken skin-side down and grill for 5–6 minutes per side.
  4. In the last 5–8 minutes of grilling, brush the chicken generously with the glaze, flipping and basting several times to build up a sticky, charred layer.
  5. Let rest 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped herbs or serve alongside slaw, grilled corn, or cornbread.

Tips for Success:

  • Sauce can be made ahead—just reheat gently before using.
  • Works great in the oven too: Bake at 400°F for 25 minutes, glazing during the last 10.
  • For even more peach power, serve with grilled peach halves or a peach-jalapeño slaw.
  • Out of wings? Honestly, I prefer thighs for this recipe!
